The Virginia G. Christensen Fund was granted to the City of Creede in 1999.
Fund income is used to enrich the quality of life for residents and visitors to the Creede & Mineral County Area. Since its receipt, the Virginia G. Christensen Fund has invested more than 1 million dollars into our area!
Virginia Christensen Funds support a wide range of community initiatives and projects in the Upper Rio Grande Area.
The Town of Creede acts as a Trustee of the Virginia Christensen Trust Fund.
Each spring, applicants (NON-PROFITS) may apply for funding and applications are generally due in mid-April. 2023 Applications and Follow-Up Reports will be due April 3rd, by 4P.M.

Presentation Day: TBD: But for now: April 26th, 2022 starting at 9:00AM
Virginia Christensen Board will make written recommendations to the Town Board of Trustees following presentation day. The BOT will make a final decision TBD at the Regular BOT Meeting. Checks will be distributed within a week after the final decision.
