As Main Street near Kentucky Belle/Basham Park will be closed due to construction, traffic cones will be set up at the intersection of Main and 5th St.  (see attached map). 

The parade is to begin at 5:00 pm at the Creede Repertory Theatre Theatron located on Loma Ave, continue South to turn East on 5th Street, turn North on Main Street, a West turn on 3rd Ave, and then a North Turn onto Loma Ave again to final stop at again at the Creede Repertory Theatre Theatron.  The parade should conclude around 5:45 pm.  

Please see attached the map of the traffic control barricade locations that will be installed by the Public Works Dept. at approximately 6:00 am on Saturday 8/7/21 for the "Snow Shoe Shuffle" Event starting and ending at Basham Park. 

Volunteers will move the barricades and/or cones back off the road at approximately 12:00 pm, and the Public Works Dept. will pick them all up early Sunday morning (8/8/21).

RMS Utilities is going to perform a sewer replacement from Basham Park up to and including a manhole installation on West Wall Street.

This is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday 8/11/21.

(They may be able to start on Tuesday 8/10, but it all depends on how they progress on the lower section of the project.  That being said, if they are delayed on the lower section, then they may not start until Wednesday 8/11/21 or Thursday 8/12/21 respectively) 

THE CITY OF CREEDE will be accepting sealed proposals for the scope defined below through August 27th, 2021.

All proposals will be publicly opened and read on August 30th, 2021 @ 2:00 PM.

Attention Residents of Creede (in the La Garita, E. 1st & E. 2nd Street areas):

RMS Utilities is scheduled to finish Cliff Street on Monday 8/2/21.  They will move construction to East 1st Street next.  This could be as early as Monday afternoon or the morning of Tuesday 8/3/21.  If all goes well, they plan on starting on the alley between E. 1st Street and E. 2nd St. on Wednesday 8/4 afternoon, or on Thursday 8/5.

These days and dates are weather dependent, as well as not coming across any "surprises" buried underground in the project areas.

The Public Works Department has been hard at work, fixing the valve for Aspen/ Capital Avenue.

Water is BACK! Pressure will return ASAP.

If you continue to experience low water pressure or any other issues following repair completion, please do not hesitate to contact the Public Works Department at 719.658.2276 ex.4.
